    Our panels are made with elite 2x4 materials for the frame. We then recess the tongue and groove sides into the 2x4's. We finish it off with 4x4 corners that are the pillars for the cedar planters.

    Red and Yellow Cedar

    We offer both Western Red Cedar and Yellow Cedar.

    Why do we offer both types of cedar?

    These two types of cedar have some similar characteristics such as they are both rot resistant and are great for garden or flowers planters.

    BUT...

    Western Red Cedar is the most popular type of wood for raised garden bed planters. It's differect colors in each piece of wood makes it look amazing. Red Cedar is a very porous wood that absorbs water and selants/stains.

    Yellow Cedar is not as readily available as Red Cedar. It is a more uniform color and looks like your standard dimension wood from a distance. The big difference is that Yellow Cedar is very dense which means it repels water and when you seal or stain it, it won't absorb the stain and come into contact with your soil.
